Consultancy & Design Services

The scope of consultancy & design services includes: field surveys and investigations, pre-investment studies, technical and economic feasibility studies, master planning, detailed engineering designs calculation of the various equipment’s as under;

Hydraulic gates equipment’s along with their lifting mechanism.
Condition survey of existing barrages, dams, canals, head regulators / head works and specially power houses etc
Steel bridges
Overhead and gantry cranes.
Preparation of tender documentation.
Subsequently on construction management and supervision

Fabrication & Manufacturing

Hydraulic gates are provided across the waterway with a control mechanism to regulate the flow of water for the control of flood, periodic release of water for irrigation, domestic and industrial water supply.

The manufacturing involves detail engineering, heavy & critical fabrication – at works and at site – and poses a different set of challenges both in manufacturing & erection. The continued exposure & execution of projects involving Radial Gates, Fixed Wheel / Roller type Gates, Slide Gates, Automatic Sensor Gates, Vertical Gates, and Sluice Gates etc. has taken our achievements and skills to greater heights.

We have the requisite experience and competency for taking up all kind of jobs in this specialized sector.

Keeping this activity in view, M/S Mian Hydro Construction Engineers MHCE (formally Known as Mian Engineers) was established in 1992 by a group of professionals who had long association / attachment in the following field. During the last twenty year, ME have played a central role in following fields:

The Water Controlling Gates are the most important components for the smooth and successful operation of the system. The said jobs were previously looked after by the Government’s own workshops. Ultimately, with the increase in Scope of work, Government involved private sector, and hence M/S Mian Hydro Construction Engineers accepted the challenges and succeeded to play a leading role in the design calculation, shop drawings, fabrication / manufacturing of Radial gates, Fixed Wheel, Sliding, roller box and Pen stock in addition to Rehabilitation of above stated works of gate equipment’s, hoisting system and allied material.

We have also collaboration with the international firms . We have successfully completed Samar Kandian canals project in Afghanistan. We are in joint venture with PVT Engineering SDN BHD. Malaysia & PTMDK Jakarta, Indonesia for gate & gears (hydraulic gate )

Every body knows that biggest Irrigation System of Asia exits in Pakistan. With the development of this System, in addition to numerous benefits, one drawback was that under ground water table rose, which caused Great loss to the lands of the area. As a remedy, Government started Scarp Tube well Schemes for rehabilitation of the lands, under which thousands of tube wells of PECO and KSB brands were installed. Some of the engineers and staff presently working with Mian Engineering Works are ex-employees of WAPDA / Irrigation Departments, who had been actively involved in the said Schemes and had played pivotal role in the installation, commissioning and operation / maintenance of the said schemes for years together.
